Custom Product Content Policy

At The Beer Lodge, we take pride in creating high-quality custom products for our customers. To maintain our brand standards, comply with legal requirements, and ensure a positive experience for all, we have established the following guidelines outlining what we can and cannot print.

We reserve the right to refuse any order that violates these policies or that we deem inappropriate at our sole discretion.

1. Prohibited Content

We do not produce or print content that includes:

A. Hate Speech & Discrimination

  • Content that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on:
    • Race, ethnicity, or nationality
    • Religion
    • Gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
    • Disability or medical condition

B. Violence & Harm

  • Threats of violence or harm toward individuals or groups
  • Content promoting or glorifying violence
  • References to self-harm or suicide

C. Illegal Activities

  • Content that promotes or supports illegal actions
  • Drug use (excluding legal alcohol-related humor/themes consistent with brand tone)
  • Fraud, scams, or unlawful behavior

D. Explicit or Adult Content

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit material
  • Graphic or inappropriate sexual references
  • Content unsuitable for a general audience

E. Intellectual Property Violations

  • Copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Trademarked logos, brand names, or likenesses (e.g., sports teams, beer brands, corporate logos)
  • Celebrity images or likenesses without rights/permission

Note: Customers must confirm they have the legal right to use any submitted designs.

F. Harassment & Bullying

  • Content targeting or attacking individuals
  • Defamatory, abusive, or degrading language directed at a person or group

2. Restricted Content (Subject to Review)

The following content may be accepted at our discretion:

A. Profanity

  • Mild or humorous profanity may be allowed if:
    • It aligns with a lighthearted, non-offensive tone
    • It is not directed at a specific individual or group
  • Excessive, aggressive, or vulgar profanity may be rejected

B. Alcohol-Related Content

  • Allowed, as it aligns with our brand
  • Must not promote dangerous or irresponsible behavior (e.g., binge drinking, drinking and driving)

C. Political Content

  • General or humorous political references may be accepted
  • Highly divisive, inflammatory, or aggressive political messaging may be declined

3. Customer Responsibility

By submitting a custom design, the customer agrees that:

  • They own or have permission to use all text, images, and designs
  • Their submission complies with all applicable laws and this policy
  • They accept responsibility for any legal issues arising from their content

4. Right to Refuse Service

The Beer Lodge reserves the right to:

  • Decline any order for any reason
  • Cancel orders that violate this policy
  • Request modifications to submitted designs

If an order is declined, we will notify the customer and issue a refund where appropriate.

5. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated at any time without prior notice to reflect legal requirements, business needs, or brand standards.
